Hawks set for annual convention
Here are a few details about the fifth annual Blackhawks Fan Convention, which begins Friday The event is sold out.
Where: The Hilton Chicago
When: Friday-Sunday beginning with opening ceremonies at 5 pm on Friday.
Who: No less than 44 current and former players will be in attendance, including Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa, Patrick Sharp, Corey Crawford, Denis savard, Bobby Hull, Steve Larmer and Stan Mikita.
Weekend Storylines: Hossa will appear publicly for the first time since suffering a head injury in Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinals in April; Kane will also make his first public appearance since the front office admitted to being “disappointed” in him after a weekend of partying in Madison, Wisc., in early May; Crawford will address questions about the Hawks looking elsewhere this offseason for a goaltender; and newcomer Sheldon Brookbank will get his first taste of Hawks nation.
