Hawks sign 2011 draft pick Broadhurst

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks announced Friday they signed 2011 seventh-round pick forward Alex Broadhurst to a three-year entry-level contract.

The 20-year-old Broadhurst, a New Lenox, Ill., native, was drafted 199th overall in the 2011 draft. He had 24 goals and 39 assists in 65 games with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League this past season. He also had 10 goals and 18 assists in 21 playoff games while helping to Knights to the 2013 Robertson Cup.

Broadhurst previously recorded 39 goals and 67 assists in 108 career games with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League from 2010-2012.
