CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane made sure goaltender Corey Crawford was recognized Friday with at least one award for his consistent play in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Kane honored Crawford with the team's championship belt during the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup rally before about two million people at Grant Park on Friday. Kane was voted the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy, which is given to the MVP of the playoffs, and previously said he believed Crawford was snubbed of the trophy.

"I got a little present here; it's a trophy we give out after every game, the belt," Kane said on stage. "I think it should go to the best player in the playoffs -- No. 50, Corey Crawford."

Kane handed Crawford the belt on Friday, and Crawford stepped to the microphone. Normally reserved, Crawford didn't hold back.

"(Expletive) right, Chicago," Crawford yelled. "Biggest bunch of beauties in the league, (expletive) worked their (expletive) off for this trophy. No one can ever take this away from us. We're the champs."

Crawford was criticized for allowing soft goals during the Blackhawks' first-round playoff exit in 2012. He entered the 2013 season knowing he had something to prove and ended up being one of the league's best goaltenders throughout the season.

Crawford had a 16-7 record with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage during the playoffs. He allowed two or fewer goals in 16 of the 23 games.
