Blackhawks re-sign Beach to 1-year deal

The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed restricted free agent forward Kyle Beach to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Beach had 16 goals and 10 assists in 66 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League last season. He led the team with 204 penalty minutes. He has 72 points in 162 career games with the IceHogs since 2008.

Beach was selected by the Blackhawks at No. 11 overall in the 2008 draft.
