Hawks agree to deal with Winchester

The Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with forward Brian Winchester on a one-year contract on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old Winchester played 37 games with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League last season, recording 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists).

A second-round draft pick of the Edmonton Oilers in 2000, Winchester has played 390 NHL games with stops in Edmonton, Dallas, St. Louis, Anaheim and San Jose.
