CHICAGO -- Blackhawks forward Michal Handzus is unlikely play to against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday due to an illness, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said.

Handzus has played in the Blackhawks' past four games after missing 14 games due to an upper-body injury. He has one goal and three assists in 13 games this season.

Brandon Pirri replaced Handzus as the Blackhawks' second-line center during the morning skate. Pirri had recently moved from the second line to the third line when Handzus returned to the lineup. Pirri has six goals and five assists in 23 games.

Quenneville also said Sheldon Brookbank, who is normally a defenseman, would likely play as a forward Tuesday. Mike Kostka skated with the third line Tuesday morning, but Quenneville said Kostka would not play Tuesday. Kostka has missed the past 20 games due to a lower-body injury.
