The Chicago Blackhawks reassigned goaltender Jason LaBarbera to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Saturday.

LaBarbera was recalled by the Blackhawks from the IceHogs on Dec. 19. He did not appear in any games for the Blackhawks.

LaBarbera was acquired by the Blackhawks in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 14. He was 1-3-0 with a 3.28 goals-against average and .870 save percentage in seven games with the Oilers this season. He was also 0-1-1 with a 1.93 goals-against average and .953 save percentage for the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL this season.

The IceHogs now have three goaltenders on their roster. Prospects Kent Simpson and Mac Carruth are also in Rockford.
