How it happened: The Rangers broke a 2-2 tie with 5:56 left in the third period, when Carl Hagelin knocked in a rebound off a shot by Marc Staal. The Rangers jumped out a 2-0 lead behind goals by Brad Richards at 5:06 and Mats Zuccarello at 9:29 of the first period. The Blackhawks evened the game in the second period, when they scored two goals within two minutes. Jonathan Toews scored a power-play goal at 6:17 and Brandon Bollig fired in a shot from the left circle at 8:05. Bollig hadn't scored since Nov. 30. Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 35 saves in the win, and Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford had 29 saves.
