Morin named CCM/AHL player of the month

Chicago Blackhawks prospect Jeremy Morin was named the CCM/AHL player of the month for February on Monday.

Morin recorded at least one point in all 11 of his games for the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs in February and had nine goals, nine assists and a plus-10 rating for the month. The IceHogs went 9-0-1-1 in the month.

Morin has continued his points streak into March and is now on a 12-game streak. The longest AHL points streak this season is 13 games, which was accomplished by two players.

Morin is leading the IceHogs with 21 goals. He also had 22 assists in 43 games for the IceHogs and one goal and four assists in 15 games with the Blackhawks this season. He became the IceHogs’ all-time leading scorer this season and leads the franchise with 77 career goals.
