The Chicago Blackhawks' full 2014-15 schedule was released on Sunday. Here’s what you need to know:

  • They will open the season on the road against the Dallas Stars on Oct. 9. Their first home game will be against the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 11.

  • Most home games Monday-Saturday will return to 7:30 p.m. start times. Sunday home games will be at 6 p.m. Select games will start at different times due to national television broadcasts.

  • They will take part in the Winter Classic for a second time and an outdoor game for the third time. They will play the Washington Capitals in Washington D.C. for the Winter Classic on Jan. 1. The venue has yet to be determined.

  • Their longest road trip will be seven games, which will go from Jan. 21-Feb. 8. They will also have a six-game road trip from Nov. 20-29 and four-game road trips from Dec. 6-13 and March 18-25.

  • Their longest homestand will be eight games, which will last from Feb. 9-24. They will also have four-game homestands from Oct. 11-21 and Jan. 11-20.

  • They will play 29 games within the Central Division. They will play the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets each five times and the Nashville Predators four times. The Blackhawks went 13-13-3 within the division last season.

  • The final week of the season could be interesting if it’s a tight Central race. Their final four regular-season games are against division opponents. The Blackhawks host the Blues on April 5 and Wild on April 7 and travel to the Blues on April 9 and Avalanche on April 11.

  • They will play 15 sets of back-to-back games. They had 18 sets last season.

  • They will play the Los Angeles Kings in Los Angeles on Nov. 29 and Jan. 28 and in Chicago on March 30. The Kings eliminated the Blackhawks from the Stanley Cup playoffs in the Western Conference finals and went on to defeat the New York Rangers to win their second Stanley Cup in three seasons.

  • Their first game against the Florida Panthers will be Feb. 24 in Chicago. It’ll be the first time Brandon Pirri plays against the Blackhawks since being traded in March.

  • They will play six preseason games. They will play at home against the Detroit Red Wings on Sept. 23, New York Rangers on Sept. 26 and Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 1 and on the road against the Red Wings on Sept. 25, Edmonton Oilers in Saskatoon on Sept. 28 and Rangers on Oct. 3.
