CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks lead the Calgary Flames 2-0 after two periods at the United Center.
The Hawks added to a 1-0 first intermission lead with a power-play goal in the second as Brent Seabrook tallied his first of the season on a point shot. The Hawks won an offensive-zone faceoff and worked the puck around until Seabrook found a lane -- with traffic -- and fired one past Mikka Kiprusoff.
Both Hawks’ goal have come from their defense as Duncan Keith scored his first of the year in the opening period.
Ray Emery has gotten better as the game has advanced making 19 saves through the first 40 minutes. His biggest stop came on a breakaway by Curtis Glencross after Steve MOntador mishandled a puck at his blue line.
