Leddy, who averaged 17:25 of playing time in the regular season, played a season-low 8:32 in the 2-0 loss on Thursday. Seabrook, who averaged 22:00 in the regular season, played a season-low 12:03.
Seabrook steered clear of answering most questions about his diminished playing time. His minutes have decreased in each game of the series.
"I don't really want to talk about that," said Seabrook, who has zero points and a minus-4 rating in nine playoff games this season.
When asked if the series had been a struggle for him individually, Seabrook simply said, "Yep."
Seabrook did admit he'd like to play more on the power play. He played a total of 21 seconds during the team's three power plays on Thursday. He averaged 2:20 on the power play during the regular season.
"You want to be out in key situations," Seabrook said of the power play. "It's a big part of the game and it's been struggling. I've been on it, and we haven't produced. It is what it is."
Leddy had a similar response regarding his playing time.
"Obviously, I want to be out there," said Leddy, who has two assists and a minus-5 rating in nine playoff games this season. "It's just what it is. I got to keep focusing on the game and when I'm out there make the best of it."
Leddy also said he didn't need to hear from the team's coaching staff on why he has played less.
"I think I just got to keep getting better as a player and keep playing," Leddy said.
Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville didn't answer directly Friday why Leddy and Seabrook have seen their minutes cut.
"Maybe we're talking about the matchup," Quenneville said. "I think we've been looking at the pairings as well across the board, looking for more even minutes as we go along here. But more so, the pairings and the matchups, their minutes were down the last couple games."
Quenneville also spoke about their lack of playing time being a result of their performance.
"I think as a staff and the team usually it's a reflection of your performance and your contribution," Quenneville said. "Sometimes your minutes are higher in game or stretch in games. At the same time, we want to make sure everybody's got confidence. Sometimes it's earned. Sometimes there's hope to get more, too, and we'll see."
