Crawford was injured when he made a right leg save on a shot by the Panthers’ Marcel Goc from the slot with 6:32 left in the first period. Crawford bent over after the save and requested for the official to call time. The game was stopped with 6:15 remaining in the period. After being examined by the Blackhawks’ training staff, Crawford was assisted while skating slowly off the ice and went to the team’s locker room.
Crawford entered the game with a 17-6-3 record, 2.50 goals-against average and .906 save percentage. He has played in 27 of the team’s 32 games this season. He made three saves against the Panthers before leaving the game.
