The Blackhawks regained the lead when Marcus Kruger deflected a Nick Leddy shot into the net at 13:51 of the second period. The Blackhawks went ahead 5-2 with third-period goals by Leddy and Kane. Tyler Toffoli again cut the lead to two goals with a third-period goal for the Kings. Both teams were 1-for-5 on the power play. Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford made 31 saves, and Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick had 25 saves.
