Prospect update: Morin, Pirri producing

Here’s a look at how some of the Chicago Blackhawks prospects are doing throughout the world:

Jeremy Morin, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), acquired via trade in 2010: The 22-year-old Morin is the organization’s hottest prospect right now. He has six goals and seven assists in seven games in February. He had two goals and four assists in the IceHogs’ three games last weekend. He has 17 goals and 20 assists in 38 games this season.

Brandon Pirri, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted second round in 2009: The 22-year-old Pirri had two goals in the IceHogs’ 4-2 win over the Iowa Wild on Sunday and is on a four-game points streak. He has four goals and two assists during the streak. He has eight goals and 11 assists in 21 games for the IceHogs this season.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), acquired via trade in 2014: The 29-year-old Bouchard has accumulated one goal and six assists in his first four games since joining the IceHogs. He was acquired by the Blackhawks in a trade with the New York Islanders earlier this month.

Adam Clendening, defenseman, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted second round in 2011: The 21-year-old Clendening has one goal and seven assists in seven games in February. He has seven goals, 34 assists and a plus-11 rating in 53 games this season.

Mark McNeill, forward, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted first round in 2011: The 20-year-old McNeill had a goal in two of the IceHogs’ three games last weekend. He has 15 goals, 13 assists and a minus-five rating in 54 games this season.

Klas Dahlbeck, defenseman, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted third round in 2011: The 22-year-old Dahlbeck had one goal and three assists for the IceHogs last weekend. He has nine goals, 22 assists and a plus-16 rating in 53 games this season.

Teuvo Teravainen, forward, Jokerit (Finland), drafted first round in 2012: The 19-year-old Teravainen is riding a 13-game points streak. He had a goal in a win on Feb. 13 and two more goals in a loss on Feb. 15. He has 23 points during the streak. He has eight goals and 32 assists for the season and ranks eighth in the Liiga with 40 points.

Brandon Whitney, goaltender, Victoriaville Tigres (QMJHL), drafted seventh round in 2012: The 19-year-old Whitney recently returned to game action after suffering a quadruple fracture of the larynx last month. He made his return on Monday and stopped four shots in 8:38 of ice time against the Rimouski Oceanic. He played a full game Wednesday and stopped 18 of 21 shots. He’s 12-23-0 with a 3.21 goals-against average and .906 save percentage on the season.

Ryan Hartman, forward, Plymouth Whalers (OHL), drafted first round in 2013: The 19-year-old Hartman has continued his hot month. He had a goal and an assist in a loss on Monday and two goals and an assist in a win on Wednesday. He has eight goals and four assists in eight games in February. He has 22 goals, 20 assists and a minus-15 rating in 42 games this season.

Kevin Hayes, forward, Boston College (NCAA), drafted first round in 2010: The 21-year-old Hayes, a senior, had an assist in Boston College’s 4-3 win over Vermont on Friday and a goal in a 5-3 win over Vermont on Saturday. He ranks second in the country with 50 points. He has 22 goals and 28 assists in 31 games.

Nick Mattson, defenseman, North Dakota (NCAA), drafted sixth round in 2010: The 22-year-old Mattson, a junior, had two goals and an assist in North Dakota’s 9-2 win over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. He has three goals, 10 assists, 25 blocks and a plus-three rating in 26 games this season.

Travis Brown, defenseman, Victoria Royals (WHL), drafted fifth round in 2012: The 19-year-old Brown has picked up his production again in February. He’s recorded points in seven of the last 10 games and has two goals and seven assists during that span. He has 12 goals, 38 assists and a minus-20 rating in 61 games this season.

Chris Calnan, forward, Boston College (NCAA), drafted third round in 2012: The 19-year-old Calnan, a freshman, had one goal and one assist in Boston College’s 5-3 win over Vermont on Saturday. He has four goals, seven assists and a plus-11 rating in 28 games this season.

John Hayden, forward, Yale (NCAA), drafted third round in 2013: The 19-year-old Hayden, a freshman, had two assists in Yale’s 7-5 win over Princeton on Saturday. He has three goals, seven assists and a minus-one rating in 25 games this season.
