CHICAGO -- Playing poorly the last two games aggravated Chicago Bulls guard Nate Robinson, but playing poorly and not having fun truly upset him.
On Tuesday, Robinson took a lesson from his favorite fairytale again and decided to act like Peter Pan against one of his former teams, the Boston Celtics.
"The last couple games I really haven't been shooting the ball well," said Robinson, who was 5-of-13 for 10 points in the last two games. "I just told myself I had to go back to my whole Peter Pan theory. You can't fly without happy thoughts."
With happy thoughts on his mind, Robinson didn't exactly fly Tuesday, but he did shoot the ball much better. He hit 6 of 12 shots, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range and scored 18 points in 21 minutes during the Bulls' 100-89 victory over Boston.
Bulls center Joakim Noah noticed the difference.
"He looked like he was having fun out there," Noah said. "And you know, when he's having fun, his energy's definitely contagious."
Robinson gets why he struggles and why he does well, and now it's just a matter of putting it into action.
"I just got to find that little niche and continue be happy and play the game the way I know how, and that's free and being myself," Robinson said. "I did that tonight."
Robinson was especially feeling good about himself in the fourth quarter. He drained three 3-pointers, including a couple from a few feet beyond the line, as part of a 12-point quarter.
Robinson nearly capped off his memorable night by posterizing a Celtics defender, but just missed throwing the dunk down while absorbing contact.
"I don't want to say I got fouled because I don't get those type of calls," Robinson said. "It's basketball. Hopefully I'll get a dunk soon. I know the fans are waiting. I was really hoping to get that one tonight. Maybe next game."
Robinson enjoyed Tuesday's win, but beating a former team of his didn't do anything to add to his mood. He is just happy the Bulls are moving in the right direction and are four games over .500 at 14-10.
"For us, it's a win regardless of what team it is," Robinson said. "We're just trying to get as many wins as we can and get confidence going and try to put streaks together. We started off doing that tonight."

Paul George finished No. 6 on our Big Board in 2010 NBA Draft. It was 6 spots too low.

One solid, underrated move we made was refusing to take back Rob Ford in that Toronto trade.
