DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Joakim Noah is being a cautious free agent, taking time to decide what is the best deal for him.
While his status on the Chicago Bulls is firmly secured, Noah is on the market for a new shoe deal after breaking with French sportswear manufacturer Le Coq Sportif this offseason.
Noah dealt with sever plantar fasciitis issues at the end of last season that were bad enough to force him to miss some late-season games and put his playing time in the playoffs in question. Noah has never blamed his shoes for the issues with his feet, but a change in shoe companies could be a nod to that.
Noah, who no longer is having plantar fasciitis issues, was wearing adidas shoes in practice Friday and suggested that he might form a partnership with the same company that provides shoes for Derrick Rose.
"I'm not with adidas yet," Noah said. "We'll see."
