LOS ANGELES -- Let's take a quick look at how the Los Angeles Clippers cruised to a 121-82 win over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday afternoon at the Staples Center.

How it happened: Jared Dudley had 21 points to lead the Clippers to an easy win. Chris Paul added 16 points and 17 assists, while Blake Griffin had 15 points and 12 rebounds. Luol Deng led the Bulls with 22 points and six assists. The Bulls looked like an emotionally beaten team, and it's hard to blame them given what has happened over the past 48 hours with Derrick Rose and his right knee.

What it means: Watching this game without Rose was like stepping back into a time warp for the Bulls. It felt like so many of the games the Bulls played last season against upper-echelon teams with high-paced offenses. The Bulls scored some points, but they also gave up way too many. The Bulls' defense stunk on Sunday -- allowing Paul & Co. to carve it up all over the floor. It got so bad that even Tom Thibodeau stopped his constant barking midway through the second half.

The reality for the Bulls is that this is a sign of things to come without Rose. They don't have enough playmakers on offense, and their defense isn't strong enough against teams that like to run up and down the floor.

Hits: Carlos Boozer had 14 points and six rebounds for the Bulls.

Misses: Taj Gibson scored six points in this game. The rest of the Bulls' bench combined for nine points. The Bulls' lack of depth is jarring.

Stat of the night: The Clippers shot 62.5 percent from the field in the first half.

What's next: The Bulls are right back at it Monday night when they take on the Utah Jazz.
