WASHINGTON -- Let's take a quick look at how the Washington Wizards earned a 96-93 win over the Chicago Bulls on Friday night at the Verizon Center.

How it happened: John Wall had 23 points and 11 assists to lead the Wizards to a victory. Martell Webster added 14 points off the bench as the Wizards made just enough plays down the stretch to close this game out. Kirk Hinrich had 18 points and five assists to lead the Bulls but Tom Thibodeau's team couldn't make enough shots in the waning moments to grab the win.

What it means: The Bulls had plenty of chances to win this game, but they couldn't hit anything late. They entered the fourth quarter tied at 74, but didn't know where to turn when it mattered most. Without Derrick Rose and Luol Deng, the Bulls have to figure out where they want to go offensively. Jimmy Butler got stuffed at the buzzer by Nene after Mike Dunleavy couldn't get a clean look at the basket. Down the line, Thibodeau has to find more creative ways for the Bulls to knock down shots. They weren't nearly as consistent on that end of the floor as he wants them to be.

Hits: D.J. Augustin had 16 points off the bench for the Bulls.

Misses: Dunleavy was just 3-for-9 from the field and turned the ball over four times.

Stat of the night: The Wizards outscored the Bulls in the paint 44-30.

What's next: The Bulls are right back at it when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
