How it happened: Joakim Noah had 14 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 blocks and a steal as the Bulls did just enough at the end to close this one out. Taj Gibson added 19 points and 13 rebounds, while D.J. Augustin chipped in with 20 points. Thaddeus Young led the Sixers with 24 points, but it wasn't enough as the Sixers lost their 22nd game in a row.
What it means: The Bulls won the game -- but their effort was very poor. They allowed a terrible team to hang around all night and almost knock them off. Tom Thibodeau will not be pleased with his team's effort, especially given how his message to his players before the game was not to play to the Sixers' level. The Bulls' players won't need Thibodeau to berate them after this one; they've set such a high standard for themselves by playing with maximum effort this season that they'll know how badly they played throughout this game. The key for them is that they won. Now they must focus and get ready for a much more difficult opponent -- the Indiana Pacers.
Hits: Carlos Boozer had 12 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes.
Misses: Kirk Hinrich was just 1-for-5 from the field in 24 minutes.
Stat of the night: The Bulls outrebounded the Sixers 52-38.
What's next: The Bulls have a showdown against the Pacers Friday night in Indianapolis.
