CHICAGO -- Here’s a quick look at the Portland Trail Blazers' 91-74 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Friday.

How it happened: The Bulls have now held LaMarcus Aldridge in check twice and lost twice. Aldridge was limited to five points on 2-of-10 shooting Friday; he was 4-of-20 from the field the first time they met this season. The Blazers made up for it in this one by shooting 10-of-22 from 3-point range and holding the Bulls to one of their lowest scoring totals of the season. The Bulls led 22-20 in the second quarter, but the Trail Blazers answered with a 12-2 run and never looked back. Portland opened the second half on a 15-2 surge and extended its lead to 24 points. The Blazers were led by Mo Williams' 18 points and Damian Lillard's 16 points. Carlos Boozer scored a team-high 16 points for the Bulls.

What it means: The Bulls failed to secure a playoff spot with the loss -- but did clinch one later Friday night when the New York Knicks lost to the Phoenix Suns. The Bulls lost by double digits for the second time in their past four games.

Hits: Boozer reached a double-double in the third quarter. He finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Misses: Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy and guard Kirk Hinrich combined to shoot 1-for-15 from the field.

Stat of the night: While the Blazers were a scorching 10-of-22 from 3-point range, the Bulls were 3-of-17.

What’s next: The Bulls face the Boston Celtics on consecutive days. They play in Boston on Sunday and in Chicago on Monday. The Bulls defeated the Celtics 94-82 in their previous meeting this season.
