CHICAGO -- Let's take a quick look at how the Washington Wizards earned a 102-93 win over the Chicago Bulls in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. The Wizards lead the series 1-0.

How it happened: Nene Hilario had a huge game for the Wizards, setting an early tone by going off for 24 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Marcin Gortat added 15 points and 13 rebounds for a Wizards team that overcame a 13-point, second-half deficit. Kirk Hinrich had 16 points and Joakim Noah had 10 points, 10 rebounds and four assists to lead the Bulls, but it wasn't enough as they couldn't make big shots down the stretch.

What it means: The Wizards took charge of this game late and beat the Bulls at their own physical game. The big issue for Tom Thibodeau's team moving forward is that it has got to find an offensive spark plug. All seven of the Bulls' core rotation players scored in double figures, but it seemed that nobody wanted to take -- and make -- big shots down the stretch. The Bulls struggled to hit shots in the waning moments, and it burned them. They had no answer for the size of Nene and Gortat, and they're going to have to watch a lot of tape between now and Game 2 in order to neutralize them.

Hits: Jimmy Butler had a solid game -- scoring 15 points, grabbing seven rebounds and playing good defense in 44 minutes.

Misses: D.J. Augustin had 16 points and got to the line a lot, but he was just 3-for-15 from the field.

Stat of the night: The Wizards shot 48.6 percent from the field.

What's next: Game 2 is Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m.
