HOUSTON -- Let's take a quick look at how the Chicago Bulls outlasted the Houston Rockets 95-92 on Tuesday night at the Toyota Center.

How it happened: Derrick Rose happened. With the Bulls trailing by eight coming into the fourth quarter, the Bulls' point guard became a one-man wrecking crew, going off for 17 points and carrying his team to its fourth win in a row. His ability to get to the hoop opened up the floor for the rest of his teammates as they started to play with the confidence and energy that they had been missing at various points throughout the game.

What it means: This game only reaffirmed what we already knew: The Bulls are only going to go as far as Rose takes them. When he went out in the third quarter with his fourth foul, the Bulls looked totally discombobulated. C.J. Watson couldn't run the offense, and the team looked lost without it's offensive leader. As soon as Rose hit the floor in the fourth, the game totally changed. Tom Thibodeau's bunch may be able to play this way against teams like Houston and get away with it. But if they continue to get no production from the backup point guard and some members of the bench, they're going to be in trouble.

What's next: The Bulls continue the Texas swing of the circus trip on Wednesday night when they face off against the Spurs in San Antonio. It will be a homecoming for starting two guard Keith Bogans considering he spent last season playing for Gregg Popovich's team.

Stat of the night: The Bulls started the fourth quarter on an 18-0 run.
