All-Star votes: Rose trails Wade, Rondo

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is in third place after the second return of All-Star balloting was released Thursday afternoon.

Rose has 721,122 votes. Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade leads all guards with 938,402 votes, while Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo is in second with 777,310 votes.

The top two guards will start the game.

Bulls center Joakim Noah, who is currently sidelined because of thumb surgery and would likely miss the game, currently sits in third place among centers with 153,657 votes. He trails Boston center Shaquille O'Neal (410,663 votes) and Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard, who leads all Eastern Conference vote getters with 988,572 votes.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant leads all vote getters with 1,153,694 votes.

Rose is averaging 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8.5 assists on the year. He made his first All-Star team last season.

This would be Noah's first appearance in the game.

The All-Star Game will take place Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
