AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Let's take a quick look at how the Chicago Bulls earned an easy 99-83 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
How it happened: Carlos Boozer had 19 points and seven rebounds while Derrick Rose added 17 points and 10 assists. In his first game in Detroit since being bought out by the Pistons, Richard Hamilton added 14 points, five assists and three rebounds. The Bulls have a lot more talent than the Pistons and it showed from start to finish.
What it means: The Bulls did exactly what they are supposed to do: They beat a bad team and never gave the Pistons much of a chance to get in the game. While coach Tom Thibodeau certainly won't be particularly pleased with how his team played defense, the truth is that they made plays when they had to and did not give Detroit many clean looks. The better news for Thibodeau is that Joakim Noah and Boozer finally played well together on the floor. If they can keep it going, the Bulls will be in good shape. They won't be seeing teams as bad as the Pistons on most nights, though.
Stat of the night: The Bulls had 31 assists.
What's next: The Bulls go for their sixth win in a row on Friday night when they take on the Orlando Magic.
