Rapid Reaction: Bulls 78, Wizards 64
How it happened: Playing without Derrick Rose, Rip Hamilton and C.J. Watson and in the third game in as many nights, the Bulls found a way to win. John Lucas III had 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Luol Deng had 12 points and 15 rebounds. Kyle Korver added 14 points off the bench.
What it means: The one was ugly. Really ugly. But the Bulls pulled another one out and showed they have the deepest team in the league. Lucas' shot selection leaves a lot to be desired, but he should get credit for playing the way he did because he played with no fear in a difficult situation. While Lucas' play was a welcomed relief for Tom Thibodeau, there is no doubt fans will continue to wonder why Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer did not play again in the fourth quarter. Aside from those topics, the biggest takeaway from this game is that the Wizards are absolutely awful.
Stat of the night: Noah and Boozer left the game with 4:42 left in the third quarter. They never returned.
What's next: The Bulls have a day off before facing off against the Boston Celtics on Friday night.
