NEW YORK -- Let's take a quick look at how the Chicago Bulls pulled out a 105-102 win over the New York Knicks on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.

How it happened: Derrick Rose was dominant at various points throughout the night -- finishing the game with a team-high 32 points and 13 assists. Carlos Boozer went for 16 points and nine rebounds, while Kyle Korver added 16 points of his own, including two clutch fee throws with 13.7 seconds left. Rookie Jimmy Butler had the best game of his young career, chipping in seven points while playing solid defense against Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.

What it means: The Bulls squeaked this one out. Tom Thibodeau isn't going to like the way his team played defensively, but the Bulls made enough plays to pull out another win. What's becoming more apparent as each game passes is just how much the Bulls miss Luol Deng on both ends of the floor. They are hopeful he will return soon. For Thibodeau, that can't come soon enough.

Stat of the night: Rose scored 15 points in the fourth quarter.

What's next: The Bulls have a day off Friday. They will resume their nine-game road trip Saturday night in Milwaukee against the Bucks.
