MILWAUKEE -- Let's take a quick look at how the Chicago Bulls pulled out a 106-104 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center.

How it happened: With the score tied at 104, Derrick Rose setup around the 3-point line then took a few dribbles and nailed a jumper as the buzzer sounded. He finished the game with 30 points and was mobbed by his teammates on the floor after it was over. Rose also chipped in 11 assists. Joakim Noah had another huge night with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Carlos Boozer added 15 points. The Bulls won their eighth game in a row.

What it means: The Bulls struggled defensively most of the game. They allowed Drew Gooden and Ersan Ilyasova to combine for 59 points. But nobody, aside from maybe Tom Thibodeau, will remember that. Rose got the ball in the final seconds and did what true closers do -- he knocked down the shot his team needed and ended the game. He has taken the next step in his progression this year in that regard. He has the ability to save the Bulls whenever they are looking for an answer. He is the answer.

Stats of the night: Rose was 14-for-14 from the line. The best performance he's ever had from the stripe in his career.

Bold play of the game: Rose knocking down the final shot as time expired. He still has a long career ahead of him, but he will be seeing that jumper for the rest of his life. He's hit a lot of big shots, but he's never hit one at the end of the game like that -- as the buzzer sounded.

What's next: The Bulls are right back in action Thursday night when they take on the Orlando Magic. Given his uneasy status in Orlando, the question is will Bulls fans cheer or boo Dwight Howard?
