Now that the Chicago Bulls schedule is out, let's take a look at 10 of the most marquee games on the schedule:
Oct. 31 vs. Sacramento Kings: The start of a new season brings a lot of question marks. Who will fill the scoring void without the injured Derrick Rose? Will Luol Deng be on the floor and ready to play? How will the Bench Mob fare without its founding members? All these questions will begin to be answered on opening night.
Nov. 8 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook come to town to play against an older backcourt of Kirk Hinrich and Richard Hamilton. The Bulls' veterans will be tested in this one.
Nov. 21 at Houston Rockets: For the first time in his NBA career, Omer Asik will be playing against his old teammates. The Bulls' front office declined to match Asik's $25.1 million offer sheet earlier this week.
Dec. 25 vs. Rockets: Linsanity gets a Christmas showcase as Jeremy Lin and the Rockets come to town for a surprising national TV matchup, given the fact that Rose still figures to be out.
Feb. 21 vs. Miami Heat: Could this be the game in which Rose decides to make his grand return? Either way, the United Center will be rocking for the Heat's first game in Chicago since they became NBA champions.
March 6 at Spurs: One of the Bulls' most impressive wins last season came in San Antonio against the Spurs. Tom Thibodeau always enjoys preparing to play against Gregg Popovich and this will be no different.
March 10 at Los Angeles Lakers: Kobe, Steve Nash, and possibly ... Dwight Howard. The Lakers will surely want revenge in this star studded affair given that the Bulls knocked them off at Staples last season.
April 14 at Heat: Whether the Bulls are close to the Heat in the standings or not, if Rose and LeBron James are playing, they will be amped to face off against one another. These two teams just don't like each other.
Here are 10 games to watch on the Bulls' 2012-13 schedule.
