No. 4 Bulls look poised to stay in Top 10

By Nick Friedell

CHICAGO -- The Bulls came into Monday night's game against the Indiana Pacers having won five in a row and are about to hit an easier section of their schedule in the next few weeks. If they keep playing the way they have been lately they could go on a serious tear. Maybe that's why they jumped to fourth in Marc Stein's NBA power rankings this week. Here's his reasoning:

"The Bulls have 11 wins against Western Conference foes, and no other team in the East has more than six,” Stein said. “[Derrick Rose] is shooting 41.6 percent on 3-pointers, and [Carlos] Boozer is back. Safe bet: Chicago is in the top 10 to stay."

I agree with him on that one. With the way the schedule breaks they might even be able to move up a spot or two next week -- especially if they keep their current mindset.

"That's the only thing that matters right now, not getting too caught up in the hype," Bulls center Joakim Noah said after Saturday night's win over the Timberwolves. "There's definitely a little buzz going on about the Chicago Bulls. It feels good to win five in a row, but we just got to stay hungry, stay humble and stay driven. We still got a lot of work to do become the team that we want to be and we want to be one of the elite teams in the East and to do that we got to keep it up."
