Rose No. 5 in jersey sales

By ESPNChicago.com news services

Derrick Rose may lead the No. 1 team in the Eastern Conference and be No. 1 on most people's MVP ballots, but he's No. 5 when it comes to jersey sales.

The NBA released its list of the top selling jerseys on NBAStore.com since the start of the 2010-11 season, and the Chicago Bulls star's No. 1 jersey dropped one spot from a year ago, checking in fifth behind Amare Stoudemire of the Knicks, Rajon Rondo of the Celtics, Kobe Bryant of the Lakers and LeBron James of the Heat.

James moved past Bryant to claim the No. 1 spot for the first time since his rookie season in Cleveland in 2004. James' popularity was expected to suffer after his much-criticized departure from the Cavaliers last summer. His switch of teams and numbers, from No. 23 to 6, ended the reign of Bryant, who had been No. 1 since the start of the 2008-09 season.
