Rose not buying into the hype
By Roman Modrowski
CHICAGO -- If Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose were to define himself by one word, it likely would be “humble,” which is why he didn't buy into the comparisons Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel made after Game 1 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.
Vogel said Rose has Allen Iverson's speed, Chauncey Billups' shooting, Jason Kidd's vision and Michael Jordan's athleticism.
Rose sounded almost embarrassed when asked about the comment in the Bulls' locker room before Game 2 on Monday.
“I don't know why he did that. I really didn't like it,” Rose said. “I didn't do anything in this league yet. To compare me to those players, I think that I'm not there yet.”
