Here's a quick look at the Bulls' win over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
How it happened: It’s very likely the Bulls envisioned their point guard and shooting guard winning games in the fourth quarter often this season – but it’s safe to assume they weren’t expecting Kyle Korver and John Lucas III to be filling those crunch-time roles. That duo combined for 23 points off the bench in the fourth quarter as Chicago – on the strength of a 20-0 run – powered past the Raptors late. The Bulls were again missing Derrick Rose. They improved to 11-4 with Rose on the sidelines.
What it means: Wednesday’s win was yet another testament to Chicago’s depth. Lucas, in particular, has proven to be a pleasant surprise as his work load has increased in recent weeks. He scored in double digits for the third time in five games on Wednesday.
What’s next: The Bulls will face a familiar foe on Saturday: The Raptors. Chicago’s only other home-and-home this season will take place against the Knicks next month.
