Loyola junior guard Jordan Hicks is expected to miss at least two months after breaking his left foot for the second time in two years, Ramblers coach Jim Whitesell said on Thursday.
Hicks started nine games this season and averaged 11.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.8 blocks.
Hicks broke his ankle during Monday’s practice and has since had surgery.
“It’s a tough one,” said Whitesell, whose team is 8-2 and plays host to No. 5 Kansas State on Saturday. “There’s no kid that’s a better teammate than him. It’s a tough loss.”
Hicks broke his left foot last season and played in just 12 games.
A broken foot will sideline Loyola guard Jordan Hicks at least two months.
