Michael Lewis has left Loyola men’s basketball staff to join Butler’s staff, a fellow Horizon League member, less than a month after being hired as a Ramblers assistant, the school announced on Thursday.
Lewis was named to first-year coach Porter Moser’s staff on April 16. Lewis spent the previous six years as an assistant at Eastern Illinois.
Moser would not comment on the Lewis’ departure on Thursday, but he said Butler coach Brad Stevens had contacted him to speak with Lewis.
Moser will now begin his search for another assistant to join Rodell Davis and Armon Gates on his staff.
After less than a month on the job, Michael Lewis is leaving Loyola.
