Ohio State beat ranked teams in consecutive weeks, but the Buckeyes can't gain any traction in the polls. Why? Because so few of the other top teams are losing.

The 6-0 Buckeyes remained at No. 4 in the Associated Press poll and at No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll after beating Northwestern 40-30. The Wildcats weren't punished much for losing at home, dropping only three spots in both polls. Michigan moved up a spot in both rankings, while Nebraska climbed a rung to No. 24 in the coaches' poll. Wisconsin remains out of both rankings, although Adam and I both believe the Badgers are worthy of Top 25 inclusion.

Here's how the Big Ten stacks up in the polls:

AP

4. Ohio State
18. Michigan
19. Northwestern

Receiving votes: Nebraska (28th), Wisconsin (29th), Michigan State (30th)

Coaches

3. Ohio State
16. Michigan
19. Northwestern
24. Nebraska

Receiving votes: Wisconsin (28th), Michigan State (29th)
