Scheelhaase, Dimke earn Big Ten honors
Two Illinois players earned conference honors after the Illini's 33-13 win at Penn State, which was their first victory in Happy Valley.
Quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase was named Big Ten freshman of the week after completing 15-of-19 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed eight times for 61 yards and led an offense that amassed a season-high 437 yards.
Derek Dimke earned Big Ten co-special teams player of the week honors after converting all four field goal attempts to become the first Illini kicker to boot four field goals in a game since 2006.
