NU's Fitzgerald to sing at Wrigley Tuesday
By Scott Powers
Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald will make his annual appearance at Wrigley Field to sing the seventh-inning stretch on Tuesday.
Fitzgerald will also throw out a first pitch before the Chicago Cubs game against the New York Mets and meet with Northwestern fans at Mullen’s Bar & Grill in Wrigleyville from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
This will be Fitzgerald’s sixth appearance as the stretch conductor.
Fitzgerald recently signed a 10-year contract extension, making him the Wildcats coach through the 2020 season. Fitzgerald, 36, is 34-29 in five seasons at Northwestern and has guided the Wildcats to three consecutive bowl games for the first time in team history.
