Loyola senior forward Devin Hill has decided to leave the team, the school announced on Friday.
Hill was sitting out this season after transferring from DePaul.
"After reflecting on his future and on the place of basketball in his life, Devin has made a decision to leave the Loyola program because he no longer has a passion for the game," Loyola coach Porter Moser said in a statement. "It takes a great deal of courage to admit his true feelings and I appreciate his honesty to both his teammates and our staff. The last few years have not been easy for Devin, but he is a terrific young man and we wish him nothing but success in his future endeavors."
Hill was injured for most of last season at DePaul. He played in five games and averaged 5.2 points and 2.4 rebounds. He made 67 appearances in three seasons for DePaul.
