While many expected Anthony Rizzo to be called up to the Chicago Cubs on Monday, the slugging first baseman is penciled into the starting lineup for the Iowa Cubs, who take on the Round Rock Express at 12:05 CT.

The Cubs face tough lefty Johan Santana on Monday, so it might make more sense to have the left-handed hitting Rizzo come up on Tuesday when the New York Mets start right-hander Dillon Gee.

Rizzo leads the Pacific Coast League with 23 home runs and 179 total bases in 69 games.
