Amid talk, Dempster poised to start

With six to eight other teams interested in acquiring Ryan Dempster, a source told ESPNChicago.com that the Los Angeles Dodgers continue to work toward landing the veteran Chicago Cubs pitcher, who is still scheduled to start Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
