ST. LOUIS -- Cubs right-hander Matt Garza was removed from Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals because of an apparent injury.

Garza had just completed three scoreless innings, but newly-acquired right-hander Justin Germano replaced him in the fourth inning.
