ST. LOUIS -- The Chicago Cubs added one more left-hander to the bullpen when Jeff Beliveau was recalled Sunday from Triple-A Iowa.

To make room on the roster, right-hander Rafael Dolis was optioned back to Triple-A Iowa.

After starting the season with just one left-hander in James Russell, the Cubs now have three in Russell, Scott Maine and Beliveau.

Beliveau, 25, the Cubs’ 2011 minor league pitcher of the year, was 4-5 with a 4.05 ERA in 34 relief appearances at Iowa. He had 47 strikeouts in 40 innings with just 17 walks. Throwing out a rough outing on July 2, Beliveau has a 3.18 in his remaining 33 outings.

Dolis was 2-4 with a 6.44 ERA over two separate stints with the Cubs this season.
