CHICAGO -- After facing righties for 14 straight games, the Chicago Cubs finally face a southpaw on Friday afternoon as the Colorado Rockies send Drew Pomeranz to the mound.

With his go to lefty lineup normally consisting of the now-traded Reed Johnson and Jeff Baker, Sveum made only one alteration to his regular lineup, having Joe Mather lead off with David DeJesus getting the day off.

Sveum, however, wasn't ready to put his lineup in stone for the final five weeks of the season, regardless of who was on the mound.

"In the long haul you’d like to (have a consistent lineup)," Sveum said. "But right now we’re doing a lot of evaluation. Trying to match guys up in situations in which they can succeed. Other than the three, four and five guys and DeJesus, it’s a bit of a mix and match."

1. Joe Mather, RF
2. Josh Vitters, 3B
3. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
4. Alfonso Soriano, LF
5. Starlin Castro, SS
6. Welington Castillo, C
7. Brett Jackson, CF
