Matt Garza leaves with 'mild lat strain'

MESA, Ariz. -- Chicago Cubs pitcher Matt Garza left the practice field with a mild lat strain in his left side Sunday, but the injury isn't expected to be serious.

"It's not that bad," Garza said after getting checked out. "It's just kind of day to day."
