Barney, Rizzo are Gold Glove finalists

Chicago Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney and first baseman Anthony Rizzo were announced Friday as finalists for a Gold Glove award.

Barney, who won his first Gold Glove last season, is a finalist at second base along with Brandon Phillips of the Cincinnati Reds and Mark Ellis of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Rizzo, who just completed his first full season in the major leagues, is a finalist at first base along with Adrian Gonzalez of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The winners will be announced live on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. CT Tuesday.
