Cubs OF Sweeney (hamstring) to have MRI

CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs outfielder Ryan Sweeney will undergo an MRI on his right hamstring after injuring it against the St. Louis Cardinals in a 6-5 victory on Friday.

Sweeney came up lame tracking down a fly ball off the bat of the Cardinals' Allen Craig in the top of the eighth inning and left the game.

Sweeney is the second Cubs outfielder to injure a hamstring in just over a week. Justin Ruggiano was placed on the disabled list April 24 with a strained left hamstring.

Sweeney has slashed .173/.241/.192 in 20 games this season.
