Diamondbacks 6, Cubs 4

Here’s a quick look at the Cubs’ loss to Arizona on Wednesday.

The good: Left fielder Alfonso Soriano hit this third home run in four games. Third baseman Aramis Ramirez connected on his first home run of the season.

The bad: Starter Ryan Dempster lost his second straight outing. Dempster actually lowered his ERA to 6.59, giving up five earned runs in seven innings. The Cubs committed three errors -- a season-high.

Beyond the box score: With injuries to starting pitchers Andrew Cashner and Randy Wells, farm hand Casey Coleman will start for the Cubs on Sunday against the Brewers. The team is unsure who will pitch Tuesday when Cashner’s spot comes around.

Next: On Friday, Carlos Zambrano (0-0) faces Randy Wolf (0-1) at Miller Park.
