DENVER -- A quick look at the Chicago Cubs' 9-5 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Sunday at Coors Field.

The good: Shortstop Starlin Castro continued his torrid hitting pace. The young Cubs phenom was 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI on Sunday. Since moving to the leadoff spot, Castro is 18-for-32 in six games.

The bad: Cubs starter Ryan Dempster continued to struggle. He’s 1-2 with a bloated 6.84 ERA. For all the good Castro has done, the young shortstop got doubled off of first base in the ninth inning with nobody out on a line drive to shortstop. Definitely a base-running no-no.

Beyond the box score: Left-hander James Russell will start Tuesday’s game against the San Diego Padres.

Up next: Carlos Zambrano (2-0) will face San Diego right-hander Tim Stauffer (0-1) on Monday at Wrigley Field.
