Rapid Reaction: Cubs 10, Dodgers 8

CHICAGO -- A quick look at the Chicago Cubs' 10-8 comeback win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Wrigley Field on Saturday.

The good: Starlin Castro, Darwin Barney, and Marlon Byrd combined to go 9-for-15 at the top of the order, knocking in six runs and scoring four. Castro's 4-for-5 day has him hitting a cool .500 (13-for-26) when he bats in the leadoff spot. Jeff Baker (2-for-5) delivered the big blow with a two-out, two-RBI double in the eighth to give the Cubs a 10-8 lead.

The bad: Ryan Dempster continued his early season struggles, going 5 2/3 and giving up seven earned runs. Dempster's ERA this season is now 7.63.

Beyond the box score: Dempster, who has struggled with the long ball this season, gave up three more today for a total of eight on the year. Dempster's home runs-per-nine innings has jumped to 2.35. For reference, the league average usually hovers around one.

Up next: Carlos Zambrano (2-0) looks to follow up his gem from Monday night (8 IP, 10 Ks, 0 ER) as he takes on the Dodgers' Hiroki Kuroda (2-2) for a 1:20 start at Wrigley Field.
